Trust.

If I could rewind, and go back to the moment when I was first called - I wish someone would have told me what I now know today. This letter was for me - but now I pass it on to you. If I had one piece of advice to say to go along with this letter it would be: If you are comfortable, you are risking far too little. - And if you are uncomfortable, you are not trusting nearly enough.

My friend,

You’re scared, I know. You don’t think you can do it. You never imagined your life like this.

But let me tell you something. I know it is scary, but you can do it. And although you never imagined your life like this, he has had this planned since the very moment you were formed. Yes, you didn’t see this curveball coming - but he did. Please, find comfort in that.

He knows you. Inside and out. He knows what you are capable of and he is well aware of your weaknesses.

This could very well be the thing that kills you. It will stretch you, cause you to once again become vulnerable and make you insecure. It will bring out your greatest fears - but I think he planned it that way.

You could play it safe. You could settle. You could find security and confidence. You could do it on your own. - But would you be okay knowing that you didn’t give it all. Would you be okay knowing that he asked you to risk it, to give your everything - and you only gave a piece to him?

It boils down to this one question: do you trust him? I know you love him. I know you believe in him. I know you couldn’t imagine life without him. But tell me, do you trust him? Do you trust him enough to risk it all?

Here’s a tough fact for you. You are right. You cannot do it. There is no way you could ever accomplish this on your own. But do you trust him enough to do it anyways? Would you give it all away, abandon your heart and say ‘this time you have ALL of me’.

Trust him. He’s making something beautiful - far beyond anything you could ever imagine. He wants to use you to accomplish things that you could never accomplish out of your own will power - and that is what make this so beautiful. All you have to do is trust him, and he will guide you through the rest. You don’t need the full picture. You don’t have to have a plan. You just have to listen to that small, still voice and say ‘I trust you - with everything’.
